Although adults regularly visit Trinidad during the wet season, these individuals represented the first juveniles ever recorded in Trinidad. Note the following features: buffy brown face; black hindcrown; dark brown lower neck; tan back; rufous lesser upperwing coverts; greyish scapulars, greater coverts and tertials with buff edges; black underwing coverts and flight feathers; finely barred black-and-buff flanks (not discernible in photos); and buffy gray underparts.
