First confirmed record for Tobago, where it was thought to have been extirpated by Hurricane Flora in 1963. This bird was flushed from its cavity nest by Floyd Hayes, Theodore Garnett, and Carla Benjamin on 20 March 1996 and captured with a mist net the following day by William Hayes and Theodore Garnett.
